Koko arrived in Blenheim in 2017 from Sydney and started school at Springlands Primary School, immersing herself in sports. Flipperball (junior water polo) was one of them and she quickly developed a passion for it. After 2 seasons, she moved up to senior water polo. That year she started Bohally and was selected for the Marlborough U12 team. In 2023 she decided to focus on water polo. Later that year she was invited to trial for the NZ U16 squad. She made the final squad selection of 34 and is the only member from the South Island. This year she has also been invited to, and played for Hutt Water polo, Manawatu and Rotorua in the U18 National Div 2 and NZ Div 2 National Women's league. Koko is also a volunteer coach for junior water polo and has been for the last 2 years.
