At 20, Bowen Abraham is a canoe polo forward studying geography and geology at the University of Canterbury while training twelve sessions a week. He won gold in the U18 grade at the 2023 Oceania Champs in his first appearance for NZ, and in 2025 was selected for the U21 development team touring Denmark and Ireland. This Grant supports his costs for the Canoe Polo World Champs in Duisburg, Germany in September. A member of the Burnside club committee, Bowen aims to trial for the NZ senior men’s team in 2030.
