At just 16, Alysa Brown is already New Zealand’s fastest U20 female race walker and holds multiple national records. She qualified for the World Athletics Race Walking Championships in Brazil at age 15, where she will be the youngest athlete and only female representing New Zealand. Alysa has won national titles in the 3km and 5km race walk and set U17 and U18 records in her first 10km event. This Grant supports her travel to Brazil for her first international competition, marking a significant step toward her long-term goal of representing New Zealand at the 2032 Olympics while continuing to support younger athletes through coaching at her club.
