Seventeen-year-old Eleri Clare is a rower named in the NZ U19 team for a second time, selected in the double sculls for 2026 after winning the B final in the quadruple sculls at the 2025 U19 World Champs. In 2026 she won the U18 single sculls at Maadi by 19 seconds and a third consecutive U18 quadruple sculls title with Cashmere High School. This Grant supports her training camp and travel to the World U19 Rowing Champs in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She hopes to row at a United States university before targeting NZ U23 and Olympic selection.
