Seventeen-year-old Ericsson Ye is a biology student selected as one of four in the NZ team for the 37th International Biology Olympiad in Lithuania, chosen from thousands of national entrants through a series of exams and a training camp at the University of Otago. He gained NZQA Outstanding Scholarship in Biology in 2025 and placed first in the South Island in the NZPMC. This Grant supports his costs to attend the International Biology Olympiad. Ericsson hopes to study Medicine or Biochemistry and to continue supporting the NZIBO programme.
