Grace has been awarded top research scholarships towards her passion for special needs dentistry especially around syndromes that effect facial development such as cleft lip and palate. While working as a House surgeon at Christchurch Hospital Grace has also spent time volunteering her dentistry skills in rural Vietnam. In 2015 Grace achieved a grant to attend a European Conference where she was selected as a Conference speaker. She has gone on to make presentations at international symposiums in Melbourne, Edinburgh and Stockholm. Today’s scholarship will assist her accepting a Fellowship to the world leading Great Ormond Hospital in London. Her goal is to treat patients overcoming adversities and one day build a foundation similar to the Fred Hollows legacy. Congratulations Grace on achieving the Clare Washington Memorial Scholarship.
