At 18, Silas Jones is an adventure racer selected for the Junior Adventure Racing World Champs in Quebec, Canada. He has won the South Island Secondary Schools AR Champs three times and, in 2025, won the Open Men Tasman 12-hour AR, beating GODZone teams. This Grant supports his travel, gear and entry costs for the World Champs. Silas, whose adventure film work was selected for the MD Mountain Film Festival, aims to compete at elite level and to design products that make moving through the mountains better.
