Now 20, Tiago Chamberlain is a canoe sprint kayaker who has previously reached two junior and U23 canoe sprint World Champs, placing 12th in the K4 500m at the 2024 event in Bulgaria. He also competes in surf life saving, winning gold in the junior ski race and the Taplin at the 2024 World Life Saving Champs. This Grant supports his self-funded costs for the U23 World Champs. Tiago aims to make the Canoe Racing NZ open high performance team and race internationally for NZ.
