Hugo Wrathall, 19, is a high-performing swimmer who has represented New Zealand in both swimming and surf lifesaving. Holding multiple National and Canterbury records, Hugo is a member of NZ’s High-Performance squad, a criminal justice student, and also a volunteer lifeguard. Recently selected for the World Short Course Swimming Championships, Hugo is focused on achieving personal bests and gaining invaluable experience. This grant will support his participation in this self-funded event, propelling him towards his goal of qualifying for the 2028 Olympics.
