Angus began dancing ballet and contemporary aged 8, continuing on with ballet to achieve distinction in many grades and awards. At just 16 he is the youngest dancer studying a Diploma in Dance with the NZ School of Dance. Selected for a student exchange to the Canada National Ballet in Toronto in 2023, this Grant will help Angus’s travel costs as the next step towards becoming a professional male ballet dancer. For Angus that would be with the Royal NZ Ballet or a reputable international ballet company where he is passionate about showcasing the quality and uniqueness of New Zealand dancers.
