Brad began shooting at the age of 11 (small bore), and was soon shooting for the school rifle team (Full-bore). He has been shooting both sports and representing both in aged and open levels. He qualified for the U25 team in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2019 and the Open NZ Team (Palma) 2015 and 2019. He received a Silver medal for open World Individual Long Range 800-yard and was the Top Overall Junior at the 2015 World Long Range Champs. He was inducted into the Marlborough Sports Hall of Fame and nominated two years running for Marlborough Sportsman of the Year (2014, 2015). After competing at the World Championships in Wellington in Jan/Feb 2019, he has World Championships in Bisley, the home of shooting, on his goal list.
