Having danced since she was 3, at 18 Breyah has won multiple awards and recently graduated from the 3-year pre-professional Canterbury Ballet trainee programme. Passionate about sharing her love of dance she also teaches. Extraordinarily, she fought her way back after months in hospital at 14 where she was told she’d never dance again. Now a fulltime NZ Youth Ballet dancer, Breyah has been received into summer schools for Boston Ballet, Bolshoi and Orlando Ballet. This Grant helps her accept one of only 10 places offered at Chicago’s prestigious Joffrey Ballet. An important next step to an international dance career, with a goal to always return to NZ to keep teaching and inspiring others.
