Charlotte Darry, 21, is the youngest of four siblings and developed a passion for rowing from a young age cheering for her family on Lake Ruataniwha. Excelling in the sport, Charlotte won titles at the Maadi Cup and set national records before transitioning to elite competitions. Balancing her studies in Medicine at Otago Uni with rigorous training, she clinched the 2024 U22 National pair title. This grant supports her participation in the U23 Rowing World Champs in Canada. Charlotte’s goals extend to making the A final at the World Champs and securing a spot in NZ’s elite rowing squad, while pursuing her medical degree to become a surgeon.
