A top water skier, in 2018 Diaz was in the U14 NZ team that beat Australia for the first time in 8 years, where she also ranked 4th overall in slalom. She’s also a top athlete achieving 2nd in her class at the Coast to Coast and is highly recognised for her contribution and leadership towards helping others in sports and the arts. This Grant will help Diaz compete as one of 5 NZ skiers in the U21 World Champs in Mexico in June including important pre-competition training in Florida. A first step towards global competition which she wants to keep balancing with her love of coaching young NZ water-skiers to reach their global potential.
