Edward Richards, 18, is a dedicated boxer who has trained and competed for eight years, representing New Zealand at national and international levels. A two-time National Champion and reigning NZ Golden Gloves titleholder, Edward also earned silver medals at the Oceania Champs and at the international competition in Auckland. Currently part of the NZ Commonwealth Games development squad, this grant helped Edward fund his first World Championships trip, laying the foundation for his ultimate goal of representing New Zealand at the Olympics in 2028.
