Finn has placed nationally at Secondary School level for Triathlon, Rugby and Cycling, but it is Cross Country mountain biking that he loves. In 2022 he won the U17 National Cross Country Champs and this year achieved top 10 placings at the UCI XC Junior World Series in Australia. In 2022 he was selected to join the Kiwi Mountain Bike Collective that is travelling to Europe to compete on the European MTB UCI Cross Country circuit. The trip will give Finn valuable race experience in the U19 Junior Men category and if successful move him up the international rankings. The next couple of years will see Finn balancing out his sporting success with a focus on attaining leadership roles at Marlborough Boys College as well as academic success at NCEA Level 3. His dream is to be getting paid to ride his bike around the world! One of his referees comments that Finn has “buckets of talent” but that it is his “sense of fun, resilience and sportsmanship” that sets him apart.
