Hamish Henderson, 17, is a self-taught freeride skier who has rapidly risen to prominence, securing an invitation to represent New Zealand at the Junior Freeride World Championships in Austria. Ranked fourth in the Europe/Oceania Junior Freeride Tour, Hamish has achieved podium finishes in multiple competitions, including a second-place win in 2023 at Mt Olympus. This grant will enable him to train in the USA with elite coaches and compete internationally, advancing his goal of earning a spot on the Freeride World Tour.
