Now 18, Joshua only began playing baseball 2 years ago, making the Canterbury team in his first year. With top Canterbury pitching stats and a NZ No. 1 tournament ranking, Joshua was the only South Islander in the NZ U19 team competing in Arizona this year. This Grant will help Joshua take up a USA Baseball Scholarship towards his goal of getting signed to the minor leagues. In the off season Joshua wants to return to NZ to share his training to inspire other young Cantabrians.
