Starting in children’s triathlons, Kirsty quickly favoured cycling. From her first season cycling, she was selected to represent Canterbury, going on to win jerseys and multiple national titles – extraordinarily both on road and track. Having raced in Australia and Europe, in 2023/2024 Kirsty is part of NZ’s only women’s cycling team. This Grant will help Kirsty buy essential equipment to be competitive at Elites, Oceanias and Jnr Worlds in 2024. Her ultimate goal includes the 2026 Commonwealth Games, 2028 Olympics and the Tour de France Femmes as well as joining a pro-team.
