Selection into the National Black Sticks Squad has seen Leah’s years of dedication pay off after first representing Canterbury aged 10. As last year’s Canterbury Hockey Women's Player of the year, Canterbury Cats MVP, Leah has also balanced top level hockey with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (1st Class Hons). Now studying towards her PhD with the Mackenzie Cancer Research Group in Canterbury, this Grant will help Leah travel to Black Sticks training in Auckland to support her ongoing rise to the top in both sport and cancer research.
