Two years ago, just 15, Lily was accepted to Canterbury University Music School while still at high school. That’s the calibre of her talent and skill. Now 17, Lily has a distinguished history of national performance, competition and study. She began playing the recorder at 7 and once at Burnside High School joined their specialist music programme eventually becoming principal of the orchestra and symphonic band. Lily shares her talent by conducting the junior concert band and hopes to run holiday music lessons to inspire children. At a level few NZers ever attain, this Grant will enable Lily to attend the Orpeous Music Recorder Boutique in Australia as the next step towards an international career.
