Already in 2019 16 year old Luke has achieved his highest world ranking of #3 in cadet men under 55kgs. That followed representing NZ last year where he won a Gold in cadet men (U17) under 55kg and Silver in jnr (U21) men. Having competed since he was 8, Luke has won 3 Canterbury Open titles, 7 South Island titles and 4 NZ titles. He came 2nd in his first overseas competition in 2017. Now working towards his black belt, this Grant will support travel to both Macau and Hong Kong International Opens with his ultimate goals the Tokyo Olympics 2020, and Commonwealth Games in England 2022.
