Matthew Mesman started rowing later than most but his talent was quick to shine when invited into the High Performance progamme in his first year. Selected for the South Island U18 rep team in 2014, Matthew won firsts in the single and quadruple sculls helping his team win the overall regatta. This Grant will help Matthew compete at the world champs in Rio de Janeiro next month with the NZ Jnr Rowing squad.
