A high achieving 5th year UC law and commerce student, Michael had to overcome mental health struggles after the Canterbury earthquakes to get where he is today. His passion to help others led to developing and volunteering with ‘Lads Without Labels’. This student-led/focused mental health and wellbeing charity is dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing care in Aotearoa and has supported 20,000+ people. Michael helps teach young people life skills and emotional intelligence tools. This Grant will help Michael study at the University of Copenhagen to connect with people from different cultures, global practices and world views to better his local community.
