Milly’s dance journey started aged 3 at Dance on Grove. She has trained in many dance genres but it is ballet that she has a real passion for. To further her dance career Milly moved to Christchurch to dance with the Canterbury Ballet School. Ballet is an art form that requires great discipline, perseverance and resilience and to that end Milly dances around 17 hours after school and one full day of training. In 2022 Milly was part of the Royal NZ Ballet’s mentor programme, in 2023 she was awarded the most promising dancer at the Canterbury Ballet and in 2024 she was accepted into the prestigious American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in Florida. In the next year Milly would love to be full time at a ballet school overseas, working her way up to principal dancer and ultimately to be part of an international ballet company.
