Seventeen-year-old Nerhys Gordon is a forward for the Canterbury Inferno and the NZ U18 Women’s Team, where she was top point scorer and team MVP at the 2024 World Champs in Bulgaria. She debuted with the Ice Fernz in 2024 and was again NZ’s top point scorer at the 2025 U18 Worlds in Latvia. Nerhys has been offered a place at Biosteel Sports Academy in Canada for the 2025/26 season. This Grant supports her move to Windsor to play in North America’s top league. Her goal is to earn selection for the 2026 Ice Fernz World Champs and coach the next generation of NZ players.
