Reilly began playing softball aged 4, following his father’s 20 years in the Black Sox team. Having played in USA last summer, Reilly was selected to play in the ISC World Tournament. In 2017 he was named Softball NZ's Male Emerging player, in the NZ Men’s Black Sox Squad, NZ Jnr Men’s Black Sox, World ISC Newcomer of the Year, among many other awards. This Grant will help 18 year old Reilly to the Jnr World Champs in Canada in the Jnr Black Sox team.
