Sho Woodhouse, 20, is an accomplished marimbist and percussionist pursuing a BMus at the University of Canterbury. Sho has loved percussion since a young age, where his passion for Japanese Taiko Drumming led him to orchestral and band performances. A first-place winner in national jazz and percussion competitions, Sho has performed with the National Youth Orchestra and competed internationally. This grant will help Sho purchase a marimba, allowing him to refine his skills and prepare for global competitions, including the prestigious Universal Marimba Competition in Belgium in 2026.
