Tom started playing squash at 8 years old and now plays daily. He is the currently the top U17 player in New Zealand. He made the NZ Secondary Schools junior team in 2018 and 2019 and the trans-Tasman test team in the same years, he holds the U17 boys’ titles and the Canterbury U23 title for 2021. Tom has also been selected for the New Zealand Secondary Schools team. His coaches speak of his talent, saying it is some of the best they have come across, of Tom’s attitude during the game and of his great and fair sportsmanship. Tom wants to build towards the National U19 title, wants to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games and tour on the world professional squash circuit.
