Matthew began rowing three years ago. This year he was nominated for young sportsman at the Canterbury Sports Awards and qualified first for the NZ U21 team in the man’s heavy weight single. A regular on the rowing podium, this Grant will help 19 year old Matthew train towards a place in the NZ U21 team.
